Paul Currie


Paul is a founder of Lightstream Pictures. His directing and producing work spans commercials, TV series, feature films and large live events, wining prestigious awards and international recognition.  


In 2017, Paul directed the life action sequence of the Lego Movie: Ninjago, starring Jackie Chan, and his Psychological thriller 2:22 (director/producer) starring Michiel Huisman and Teresa Palmer is being released worldwide.  Paul’s producing credits include: Action thriller Uner the Gun; Executive Produced thriller Rampart, starring Woody Harrelson, Sigourney Weaver and Robin Wright.  Paul collaborated with Hollywood legendary producer Bill Mechanic as producer twice: fantasy adventure film The King’s Daughter staring Pierce Brosnan and William Hurt, and the Academy Award winning Mel Gibson directed Hacksaw Ridge, starring Andrew Garfield.  In 2016, Paul also produced the Australian shoot of Bleeding Steel staring Jackie Chan, and Chinese/Australian Co-Production The Longest Shot. Paul also co-produced David Attenborough’s Great Barrier Reef documentary.   


Paul’s director’s credits include: ABC TV series Twenty-Something; Max Rose (Director/Executive Producer) starring Jerry Lewis; documentaries Lionheart – The Jesse Martin Story, and Every Heart Beats True: The Jim Stynes Story; World reconciliation Day, featuring Nelson Mandela and Rubin ‘Hurricane’ Carter.  (Director/producer).  Paul Directed and produced award winner ONE Perfect Day.  He also co-authored the best-selling book, A Hero’s Journey.
